The Triumph Moto2™ Engine
As the exclusive engine supplier to the FIM Moto2™ World Championship, Triumph Motorcycles now provides all of the teams race-tuned 765cc Triples each of which is based on the class-leading Street Triple RS powerplant, with major developments that allow the engine to breathe more freely and rev harder, and a peak power output of more than 140PS (an increase of more than 17% over the production bike).
Triumph Motorcycles began testing an engine prototype in 2017, soon after being announced as the exclusive engine supplier to the FIM Moto2™ World Championship. This is the fascinating development journey of the Triple engine used by every team in the FIM Moto2™ World Championship.
After two years of intensive engine developments, testing is complete, and each race-tuned Triumph Triple engine is set up to deliver more than 140PS. Moto2™ racing will never be the same again!
The Moto2™ engine represents the latest milestone in Triumph’s international racing history.
For more than a century race winners, record holders, and icons of the starting grid have done so on a Triumph motorcycle.
This is Triumph’s racing pedigree...
